The national competition for journalists and bloggers is held in order to attract the attention of the media to topical issues related to the development of the public service delivery system, to raise public awareness of the public services provided in Uzbekistan, as well as about the activities of the Public Service Centers and the possibilities of access to public services throughout the country through the www.my.gov.uz portal.
The competition is organized by the Public Services Agency under the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the United Nations Development Programme in Uzbekistan, the Delegation of the European Union within the framework of the joint project of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Public Services Agency under the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the United Nations Development Programme in Uzbekistan “Improving the provision of public services and improving the level of governance in rural areas of Uzbekistan”. funded by the European Union.
Participants: Journalists, authors and bloggers from all regions of the country over 18 years old, regardless of their place of work (Republic of Karakalpakstan, cities and districts of all regions, Tashkent).
Brief description of the competition:
The competition will be held from January 1 to May 5 (DEADLINE EXTENDED TO AUGUST 1), 2021. The winners will be selected through an expert evaluation of the materials by an independent jury.
The jury of the competition evaluates the submitted competition materials, taking into account the relevance, completeness of the disclosure of the topic, professional skill, artistic expression, and determines three winners of the competition in each category.
The winners of the competition will be determined by the highest number of points received from the members of the jury of the competition. In case of an equal number of votes, the vote of the chairman of the jury is decisive. The results, according to the submitted competition materials, by April 30, 2021, are documented in the minutes of the meeting of the jury of the competition for each nomination signed by the chairman and secretary of the jury of the competition.
The results will be announced on May 5 (DEADLINE EXTENDED TO AUGUST 1), 2021.
Within the framework of the competition, materials prepared by journalists, authors and bloggers related to the topic of the competition (i.e. with issues of public services) in 5 nominations will be accepted.

Additional opportunity for participants:
Journalists, authors and bloggers from all regions of the country will have the opportunity to consult with the organizers of the competition on the specifics of the topic before the official publication.
The competition accepts publications in the periodicals (online media, print media, social networks and public telegram groups) of national, regional, city, district media in Uzbek, Russian, Karakalpak (with translation into Uzbek or Russian) and English, published in the period from January 1 to April 15 (DEADLINE EXTENDED UNTIL JULY 15), 2021.
Materials in the direction of “Public services as a vital necessity” may include those materials that cover the following issues:
- provision of public services;
- receiving offline and online public services;
- expanding access to public services;
- the activities of the Central State Administration;
- digitalization of public services.

Contest materials should not contain advertising information, as well as information, the distribution of which is prohibited or restricted on the territory of Uzbekistan. Contest materials containing this information will not be considered!
RIGHTS TO USE MATERIALS: The organizers reserve the right to distribute, duplicate, copy, publish and use the materials received. The organizers and partners, for their part, undertake to indicate the author of the material in their publications.
After determining the winners on May 5 (DEADLINE EXTENDED TO AUGUST 1), 2021 An official award ceremony will be organized with the participation of representatives of the Public Services Agency under the Ministry of Justice, the Public Foundation for the Support and Development of National Mass Media, the Delegation of the European Union, UNDP in Uzbekistan, representatives of diplomatic missions in Uzbekistan, the media and other guests.
